[. . .] Pills Take amber and mastike of each one quarter of an ℥, alloways ʒ v, agrick ʒ i s, aristalochia ʒ s, and beat them very smale and sift them through a very fine sive and temper them with sirup of wormwood and make it up into pills about the bignes of a great pea and take 2 or 3 of them as often as you please when you goe to bed, which will presarve the stomache from all deseases and suffer nothing to putrify in it and strengthen the head and the hart and clenens the raines and the wombe.
